Please note that due to the configuration of the antennas in Portugal, in some roads the device does not emit sound. In any case, we explain you how the Portuguese roads are:
1.- Vias Aderentes (similar to the Spanish one but without barrier and with green ground). In these the VIAT does not emit sound.
2.- ExScut: Electronic arches in which the VIAT does emit sound.
On the other hand, it is important that you have correctly associated the license plate of the vehicle with which you travel to Portugal to its VIAT.
Since March 2015, the Authority in charge of toll collection in Portugal requests the linking of the VIA-T mobe to the license plate of the vehicle with which you are going to travel on the highways and freeways of Portugal.
To do this you must access your user profile and in the "mobes" tab you will see the option to associate the license plate: https://www.pagatelia.com/micuenta/mobes.
A device can only have one license plate associated to it.
If you need to circulate in Portugal with another vehicle different from the one you have linked, remember that you must associate the new license plate before 12:00 pm the day before the trip, as the systems are updated daily.
The linking of the license plate to the electronic toll device allows that, in case the device has not been read correctly, the Authority managing the toll collection can have the necessary information to avoid the fine for non-payment.
Pagatelia disclaims any responsibility in the event that you are penalized for not following this recommendation.
In any case, if you use more than one vehicle to transit through Portugal, we recommend that you hire a device for each vehicle to avoid complications.
